Lia & Danny Soto

Before giving birth to my daughter I questioned whether I needed a doula. I made the best decision for me and for our birth going with Mapuana. She was very personable and made a great effort to get to know me and my family. She was attentive, supported my goals for birth, and gave me a lot of comfort measures which actually helped. She coached my husband on how to be there for me and also helped me prepare for breastfeeding. She constantly reassured me and gave me the confidence I needed to follow my birth plan. By the way, her prenatal massages are amazing and worth their weight in gold! Thank you Mapuana!

It was important to me to feel autonomous in my birth experience and have the information I needed to make my own choices. Mapuana helped me feel prepared and confident to do just that. She’s also a wonderful massage therapist and took such thoughtful care of me before and after birth. I’m so grateful for her support throughout my journey!

Mapuana is warm, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful experience with Mapuana as our doula for our home birth. Mapuana did a great job of helping me fine tune what I wanted for my birth experience in a very supportive way. She's so caring and knows just how to make a birthing mom feel like a goddess. Her knowledge and use of essential oils during labor was so helpful in creating just the right support I needed at each phase. You're in great hands with Mapuana as your doula!

She supported me throughout my pregnancy and birth and gave me the knowledge and confidence to navigate things I hadn’t experienced during my first pregnancy. Most importantly, she believed in my ability to have a VBAC. She never made my goal feel unrealistic. Instead, she empowered me to approach birth without fear and believe in what my body was capable of.

Mapuana became so much more than a doula. She was one of the first people I trusted to hold my new baby, and I knew without hesitation that my baby was safe in her arms. She came into my life as my doula and became a friend. I’ll always be grateful she was by my side.

My experience with Mapuana was truly incredible.

With 27 years of experience as a clinical massage therapist and an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Mapuana offers therapeutic prenatal massage designed specifically for the changing needs of the pregnant body.

Wellness isn't about changing everything at once. It's about making thoughtful choices that support the way you want to live.

I've spent years helping individuals and families incorporate doTERRA into their everyday lives through essential oils, nutritional supplements, personal care, and products designed to support a lower-toxin home and lifestyle.

Whether you're completely new to doTERRA or already have products sitting in your cabinets that you're not quite sure what to do with, I'll help you simplify it. Together, we can explore products and routines that fit your goals, your family, and the way you actually live.

From essential oils and supplements to personal care and household products, my approach is practical, personalized, and never about buying everything.

Private consultations and personalized wellness education available.

A time to be held, honored, and cared for. Closing of the Bones is a traditional postpartum-inspired ritual created to offer intentional care to the body after pregnancy and birth. Through gentle bodywork, warmth, wrapping, and quiet moments of rest, the experience creates space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and acknowledge the enormous physical and emotional transition of becoming a mother. Using a traditional woven rebozo, the body is gently wrapped and held in a series of areas from head to feet. Combined with nurturing touch and thoughtful care, the experience is less about “getting back” to who you were before birth and more about honoring the body that carried you through it.

There is nothing you need to accomplish during this time. You simply get to receive.

Gentle touch for your baby's earliest days. Birth is a big experience for a baby's body. Infant cranial work offers a gentle, hands-on approach designed to support your baby as they settle into life outside the womb.

Using very light, intentional touch, I listen to the baby's body and work with areas of tension and restriction that may be present following pregnancy and birth. Sessions are slow, responsive, and guided by your baby's cues—never forced.

This work can be especially meaningful for families who simply want their newborn to receive thoughtful bodywork after birth, including babies who have experienced a long or challenging labor, assisted delivery, cesarean birth, or unusual positioning during pregnancy.

Whenever possible, care happens with baby close to you—in your arms, at the breast, or wherever they feel most secure. There is no expectation for your baby to be perfectly still or cooperative.

Infant cranial sessions are available during the newborn and early infancy period.

Questions before getting started?

There’s really no such thing as too early! Many families reach out during their second trimester, but I welcome clients at all stages of pregnancy. The earlier we connect, the more time we have to build trust, prepare together, and make sure you feel supported and confident heading into birth.
I primarily serve families throughout Santa Clarita and the surrounding Southern California area. I'm also willing to travel! If you’re unsure whether you’re within my service area, reach out. I’m always happy to chat about your location and what support could look like.
Yes! I support families wherever they feel most comfortable giving birth, whether that’s a hospital, birth center, or at home with a qualified birth team.
Birth is unpredictable, which is why I’m intentional about how many clients I take on and how I schedule due dates. In the rare event that births overlap, I have trusted backup support in place so you are never left without care. We’ll talk through all of this together before your birth so you know exactly what to expect.
Absolutely. I’m not there to replace your partner, I’m there to support both of you. I can help your partner feel more confident and involved by offering guidance, suggesting comfort techniques, and stepping in when they need a moment to rest, eat, or simply breathe.
Yes. I want families to have options when planning for their care. A $500 deposit reserves your due date, and the remaining balance is due around 35–36 weeks. We can discuss payment options and find a plan that feels manageable for your family.
Absolutely! You do not need to be a doula client to receive massage, essential oil wellness support, float sessions, or other individual services. Each offering can be booked based on what kind of support your body and season of life need.
I accept Kaiser insurance for eligible doula clients. Coverage and benefits vary by plan, and eligibility must be verified prior to beginning care. Reach out to learn more about the insurance process and have your benefits verified.
